the Majesty Peacoat in this bright red (decadent red) and the lighter option (dark bone) are both beautiful options.  (the lighter color is styled really well in the J.Crew catalog! - if you're looking for styling inspiration - )

($128 - BR has sales so look out for it during a 30 to 40% off promotion)

suede + leather + a neutral brown shade = perfect

it's difficult to find a sexy neutral pump that's comfortable and looks good.

currently craving: warmer weather + Madewell Archive Boots

i can usually handle the east coast freeze 

but the wind was BLISTERING.

ugh.

i digress.

it's all been making me crave warmer weather. 

not even beach - like

just enough where i can wear something other than my rainboots or booties (or UGGs - not cute i know, but SOO comfortable...).

i've also been craving some boots

and maybe a new e-reader.

i'm loving Madewell boots

but i've found that it's hard to find boots that fit well with my wide calves.

currently craving: Banana Republic Evan Leather Satchel in Mint

i actually have this in the cognac and adore it.

the leather is perfect. it's thick and sturdy. 

the long strap is a nice option, 

and the shape is about as classic as they come.

a little list inspired by my apparently, obsessive need for the previously mentioned ankle booties in my last post.

1. Sam Edelman 'Lisle' - on sale at Nordstrom for $96. the price is right and they seem to be a similar shape to the ance booties i like. i think these are really cute. i love the little zipper detail in the back. 

2. Elizabeth and James 'Paul' - on sale at Piperlime for $260. mid range in terms of price. half the price of the acne ones, and lovely to boot. (haha get it - boot...) elizabeth and james make some beautiful pieces so i have no doubt that these would be a great little addition to the closet. however, as much as i love love love the color pictured above, i'm a bit weary about the stretchy band on both sides of the shoe. otherwise, i think they're great.

3. Old Navy faux leather booties - on sale at Old Navy for $19!! i think these are so great for the price point! the style really reminds me of the acne booties. my only hang up is that on the black pair (which is coincidentally the one i'd want) the heel is still that stacked tan color, if it was black than these would be a huge contender for me.

cashmere is just one of those materials synonymous with luxury.

it's soft, sumptuous, and can get incredibly pricey.

however, there are a few places that make great quality cashmere at not so crazy price points.

here are some of my attainable luxury picks (under $100!):

prices range from $60 to $80 

the cashmere lined leather gloves will wear beautifully season after season and how cute are those beanies! i think they'd really be great for the winter chill that we all seem to be battling here on the northeast.

3. J. Crew Factory Classic Crewneck cashmere cardigan (here) on sale for $75.

another classic piece. i love how vibrant the red hue is and how great it would be as a pop of color over a simple outfit or with a lovely skater skirt. plus jcrew's cashmere quality cannot be beat.
